Each ICMI Study addresses an issue or topic of particular significance in contemporary mathematical education, and is conducted by an international team of leading scholars and practitioners in that domain appointed by the Executive Committee of ICMI. Each ICMI Study has an international conference associated with it. Beyond the productive interaction and collaborations occasioned by this event, the main product is a Study volume, which aims to offer a coherent, state-of-the-art representation of the domain of the Study. It is these Study volumes that constitute the New ICMI Study Series (NISS).
The Proceedings of ICMI Study Conferences (preparatory conferences to ICMI Study books) are available on the section devoted to each ICMI studies either on going or already finished.
