The International Programme Committee of ICMI Study has released the Discussion Document for the 21st ICMI Study.
This document suggests specific issues and invites those who might contribute to the discussion to submit a paper, so that the International Programme Committee can select those attending the ICMI Study Conference. The structure of this Discussion Document is as follows:
Section A provides a focus for the Study; section B a rationale, section C provides a definition and discussion of multilingualism. Section D discusses mathematics education and multilingualism. Section E highlights some of the different perspectives from which learning and teaching of mathematics can be examined. Section F provides a series of themes and a number of critical questions around each theme. Section G provides a call for contributions and outlines the process of the Study Conference.
