The International live virtual celebration on March 14 will highlight nine short lectures (10-15 minutes), either in English or with subtitles in English, in two parts at 12:00 UTC and 14:00 UTC.
The lectures are intended for students in schools. The celebration will be chaired by Inês Guimarães and Ayliean MacDonald.

This virtual IDM 2023 UNESCO Webinar will take place at 12:00 UTC on March 14 2023: “Industrial mathematics: Applications and Challenges”. It is organized jointly with IMU and the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development 2022/2023 (IYBSSD 2022). The program can be seen when clicking on Register. The webinar will announce in particular the launch of the French version of the UNESCO tool kit: “Des maths pour agir : accompagner la prise de décision par la science”, for which IMU was a partner.

The IDM 2023 map will remain open until the end of March 2023. It is still time to post your IDM events if you haven’t done so.

From March 14 onwards, you can visit on the IDM website the galleries of comics received for the IDM 2023 challenge.

It is still time to decide to make a special event in your classroom on March 14 using one of the proposed activities.

Video talks are offered, given by mathematicians in several languages and with subtitles in English, French, Spanish, Ukrainian, Arabic, Chinese, German, and others.
