How do these modes and instruments influence the teaching and learning of mathematics? How much is too much in assessment and testing? Do the costs of testing match the positive results? What is the balance of positive and negative outcomes of testing? How can assessment and testing be devised and organised so as to serve as means to develop and strengthen the teaching and learning of mathematics?
