As a part of the program directed towards children and a general public, the LOC of ICME-12 will arrange a mathematical carnival during the conference days of ICME-12. The idea is that this will attract local families, teachers and families of participants as a welcoming way to experience mathematical activities. The carnival will be operated in D1 Hall located at the very center of the COEX.

The carnival will be six categories:
Exhibition of Mathematics Manipulative and Art
Mathematics Manipulative and Art developed and designed by Korean mathematics teachers and members of Korean Origami Association etc. will be exhibited.

Students’ Mathematical Workshops
The activities will be organized so that some students, teacher or a general public engage directly in an activity, and become a part of the performance, while other people will be audience. Contributors themselves are asked to bring the equipment needed for their workshops. Instructions for the activities should be written in English on one page, and if possible, in Korean on the other side of the instruction sheet. Asian and Australian Mathematics Classrooms
During the ICME-12, each mathematics classroom of Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Armidale and Singapore will be televised real-time on Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri and Sat respectively. Before televising, someone from each city will introduce the classroom for 10 minutes in front of the audience and after 50 min class, s/he will answer questions from the audience for 30 minutes.

Mathematical Show with Puzzles, Games and Magic
The LOC invites teachers from all countries to contribute and participate in this show program. This program includes activities that have been tried out with students in class, at mathematics fairs or other events aimed at engaging children in active participation. In this way we, mathematics educators, will also have a chance to show how outdoor activities might be used as a tool for learning mathematics while having fun. Acceptance of your application and location of each booth will be informed no later than April 30, 2012. 

Non-Commercial Exhibitions
The LOC will provide 25 booths for non-commercial exhibitors but some of them are already taken to ICMI, 5 NP teams(USA, India, Singapore, Korea, Spanish Cultural Heritage), 3 Asian countries/Regions (China, Japan, ASEAN) and 2 Asian Associations (EARCOME-6 and APEC Lesson Study). LOC will select the rest 14 exhibitors based on the evaluation of the application form.

Commercial Exhibitions
The LOC would like to invite 40 commercial companies who want to display their products at the Congress.

Non-commercial Exhibition: Call for Application
The LOC of ICME-12 invites colleagues to submit an application form for non-commercial exhibition booths in the D1 Hall of the COEX during ICME-12. The booths will be open from The commercial exhibition will open from 11:30 on July 9, 2012 to 18:30 on July 14, 2012.   
Only non-profit organizations / Associations are eligible to be a non-commercial exhibitor. Potential non-commercial exhibitors include:

• Research institutions on mathematics education
• International associations on mathematics education
• Countries / Regions

The LOC will provide a 9 square meters(3*3) booth stand(refer to Figure 1 & 2). A booth stand will have: two regular 220W plugs, a fluorescent light, 3 halogen lights, one table and two chairs. However, other items are responsible for exhibitors (More information for furniture will be notified soon).
Please observe that all personnel present at the non-commercial exhibition must be registered as congress participants. A person without a nametag won’t be allowed to enter the Exhibition Hall.

Commercial Exhibition
The LOC would like to invite commercial companies who want to display their products at the Congress. The commercial exhibition will open from 11:30 on July 9, 2012 to 18:30 on July 14, 2012 at D1 Hall in the COEX.  The total number of 40 booths is available for commercial exhibitions and each booth is of a 9 square meters (3mx 3m) with a floor space. (See Figure 1, 2). The booth will be charged differently according to its location (See Figure 3):

• Sector A: USD 2,700
• Sector B: USD 2,500
• Sector C: USD 2,300

The stand will have two regular 220 W plugs, a fluorescent light and 3 halogen lights, one table and two chairs. Exhibitors are responsible for other items. (More information about extra items will be notified soon).
Commercial exhibitors cannot reserve a specific exhibition area. Please be aware that all personnel present at the commercial exhibition must be registered as an exhibitor. No additional registration fee will be charged. A person without a nametag won’t be allowed to enter the Exhibition Hall, and a bag will be given to all participants indicating that they will be allowed to enter all scientific activities and social events.
