Instructions for Speakers at ICM 2010
- Only laptop, data projector, screen and microphone will be available in the halls. Overhead Projectors (OHPs) will NOT be available.
- Presentations must be in pdf format or MS-Office 2003/2007 PowerPoint. Videos should be in any format playable by one of either Windows Media Player or VLC media player (downloadable from http://www.vlcmediaplayer.org.)
- Presentations must be on a pen drive (not CD) which the speaker should virus scan before coming to the conference. There should be no other files except the ICM presentation on the pen drive. A backup copy of the presentation should be available on another media or on the net. It will not be possible for the Speakers to connect their own laptops to the projector.
- Speakers must go to the Speaker Preparation Room in the venue where their pen drives will be scanned for viruses and then they should upload their presentations onto a local server. Assistance will be available.
- Speakers must visit the preparation room at least four hours before their presentation.
- The Speaker Preparation Room will be open daily from 08.30am – 6.30pm (it will be closed during lunch break from 1-2 pm). It is located in room number 1.08. After entering through the main doors of HICC, turn left and take the escalator at the far end of the lobby passage up to the first floor.
- Those wishing to avoid last minute rush at the Speaker Preparation room will be able to upload their pdf files over the Internet via a link which will be made available on the ICM webpage two weeks before the conference. We strongly recommend that all Invited Speakers for the various Sections and those presenting Short Communications use this facility.
The link for uploading your presentation: You may now upload your talks in the form of a PDF file or a PowerPoint presentation at this link. - Please note that Internet browsing will not be available in the Speaker Preparation Room.
- For poster presentation, each selected contributor will be provided one side of a board on a stand. The board will be 7 feet high. The size of the board is 3ft by 4 ft.
