On February 27 & 28 the new CDC met at the IMU Secretariat in Berlin. Central issues were the renovation of the Committees, review of activities and revision of the Programs supported with CDC budget, as well as the future work.
CDC 2015-2018 met on Monday 3rd & Tuesday 4th of April 2017 at the University of Sussex, UK.
Key issues discussed included the new possible role and involvement of CDC in the ICM 2018 (RIO) and the function of CDC and division of work of CDC and its sub-committees for 2017-2018.
The CDC 2015-2018 meet March 12 and 13, 2015 in the IMU Secretariat. Key issues discussed included the new CDC Grant Selection Committee, new programs and the distribution of a special IMU Grant for projects in developing countries. On March 13th the CDC met also with the IMU-EC 2015-2018.
On January 31, 2011 the members of the CDC and other selected members met to discuss CDC issues and in particular the Donors Conference Workshop (later called "MENAO").
The second CDC Meeting was held March 9th-11th, 2013 also at the IMU Secretariat, in Berlin, Germany. In 2010 the 16th General Assembly of the International Mathematical Union, Bangalore, India, passed a resolution #6, to hold a “donors conference” at the next ICM. At the joint meeting of the CDC and the IMU EC in March 2013, IMU and CDC decided to hold the “Mathematics in Emerging Nations: Achievements and Opportunities” (MENAO) symposium on August 12, 2014 in Seoul, Korea, the day before the opening of ICM 2014. The MENAO symposium featured personal stories from a variety of mathematicians, country-specific development stories – both from the perspective of mathematicians in developing countries and from the perspective of their international partners – as well as an insight into the state of mathematics in Korea and its influence on economic development.
