Professor Christopher Thron from the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University volunteered as a lecuterer from June 18th to July 14th, 2015 at the University of N,Djamena FSEA. He gave a course on Numerical Analysis to 30 Bachelor students. The students listened to videos that showed how to implement various numerical algorithms in Scilab. They also wrote programs for implementing Diffie-Hellmand key exchange-- finding primitive roots, raising numbers to large powers mod p, etc. For the final exam, the medical college allowed them to use one of their classrooms.
