Visit from Prof. Victor Gonzalo Neumann (Brazil)
From September 23 to October 14, 2012, Professor Victor Gonzalo Neumann (Universidad Federal de Uberlandia, Brazil) has taught at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán in Tegucigalpa, Honduras as visiting professor under the IMU- CDC Volunteer Lecturer Program and gave a course in Abstract Algebra.
From October 5 - 8 , he gave a course in São Pedro Sula of "Groebner Basis" to students from the master in mathematics education and a seminar of "Elliptic Curves" to professors.
The Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán (UPNFM) is the only university in Honduras that forms math teachers for elementary and secondary education.
