The CIMPA School was held in Kenitra, Morocco from July 3 until July 13, 2019. The objective of this CIMPA Research School was to introduce mathematical modeling and management of urban waste, by bringing together, during 10 days, specialists in the field of modeling, mathematical analysis and scientific computation of phenomena linked to this management. The aim being that participants can be initiated to different mathematical models related to this topic, ranging from the transport of waste up to the impact of the discharge on the water table, and mainly the phenomena of biodegradation, discharge and transport of leachate and biogas in storage. The recycling of the liquid phase of household waste is another aspect of this management. The modeling and optimization techniques which were developed during this CIMPA School can be used in order to solve problems of water recycling by an approach called "Reuse of Wastewater".
