Historia Mathematica: International Journal of History of Mathematics is the official journal of the International Commission for the History of Mathematics. Founded by Kenneth O. May in 1974, it has published on many aspects of the history of mathematics in all periods and all cultures ever since its first appearance. It was originally published by Academic Press, and since May of 2004 by Elsevier. The more than 130 issues to date have included research articles of varying length, research notes on more restricted topics, obituaries and other news items, book reviews, and abstracts of the current literature in the field of history of mathematics.
