WTC Events Center
The ICM 2018 Executive Committee is pleased to announce that the 2018 General Assembly of the International
Mathematical Union will be held in the World Trade Center (WTC) complex in the city of São Paulo, on July 29-30,
2018 (Sunday and Monday preceding the ICM in Rio de Janeiro).
Founded in 1995, WTC São Paulo is one of the largest business complexes in Latin America. Its world-class
convention center consists of over 12,000 square meters divided into 60 flexible areas that can be adapted to
events of all shapes and sizes. The WTC Ballroom/Theater and Golden Hall provide extra room for other activities.
The WTC complex also includes a Sheraton hotel, a 25-floor office tower, and the D&D Shopping Mall.
