The International Mathematical Union (IMU) has put forward a call for nomination of plenary and sectional
speakers for ICM 2018. Speaker proposals should come from one of the Adhering Organizations of IMU and
from the mathematical societies worldwide. The deadline for nominations is November 1st, 2016, and
instructions for proposals are given in the
official call for nominations.
As part of this announcement, the IMU has also presented the list of 19 sections of ICM 2018, as decided
by the Program Committee. The names of sections are listed below.
