Accreditation is mandatory to all journalists who wish to cover the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM 2018)
and its events (Opening and Closing ceremonies, FIelds Medal and Nevanlinna Prize ceremonies, for example).
Access will be granted only to accredited journalists.
This accreditation process is exclusively for professional journalists, working for media or academic outlets and for
freelance journalists with national/international journalist photo IDs. Accreditation must be done by July, 27, 2018.

Registration
After registration, all personal data will be analysed by ICM 2018. The media outlet/journalist will receive an e-mail
about his/her accreditation approval.
Accreditation is to be done by every ICM participant individually. Each media can have more than one professional
registered for working in the Congress.
While doing the registration, the professional should attach a letter (wrote in the company letterhead) signed by
the responsible editor and/or the company badge. If you are a freelancer, you should attach a copy of your Journalist ID.
To collect the ICM credential, the registered professional will be required to present his/her original photo ID or passport.
Invitation Letter
Brazilian authorities may request an invitation letter from ICM 2018 participants. IIf you need one, write to ICM Organizing
Committee through contact@icm218.org
requesting yours. The whole process of requiring a vista is the sole responsibility of each individual traveler.
If your need the letter be sent by mail, there will be a charge of USD 10, that must be paid at the accreditation
counter when collecting the Congress badge.
Passport and Visa
If you do need a visa, you have to submit a visa application through the website
