Participants that will be doing their registration onsite, on August 1, 2018, will be able to attend the Opening Ceremony that will begin at 8:30 am.
Only payments by credit/debit card and local currency (BRL) will be accepted for registration onsite.
If you wish to take advantage of discounted registration fees, it is strongly recommended that you register during the
Early Advanced period, that is, by April 27, 2018.
Brazilian citizens and legal residentes only: under Brazilian legislation, payments must be processed in Reais (BRL) converted from American dollars (USD) using the then current exchange rate.

Please notice that the registration periods are based on Brazil´s legal time.
Students (master and doc) who have not completed their PhD have the option of registering at a reduced student rate.

Accompanying Persons cannot register separately, they must be included in the registration of a full participant or a student.
Participants with special needs are allowed to attend the Congress with an accompanying person.
Each such participant must complete his/her own registration and pay the registration fee. Permission to bring an accompanying person may then be requested through the email registration@icm2018.org. Such requests must include a medical certificate attesting the participant's special needs. If needed, the Organizing Committee may request further information from the participant.
Accompanying persons will not need to complete a regular registration or pay a registration fee. However, they will still need a badge to attend the Congress. To receive it, accompanying persons must present themselves, along with the corresponding participants, at the registration area onsite.

Participants who register in advance may also book, during the registration process, the complete set of the Proceedings
of the ICM for USD 230. This price was negotiated between the Organizing Committee and the Publisher and is valid just for
the bookings made during the registration process and done until July 13, 2018.
The attendees will be able to buy the proceedings also during the Congress for USD 280.
All registrations must be completed on the ICM 2018 website. Telephone, e-mail or post requests will not be accepted.
The registration will be considered as binding when it is received by the online registration system and full
payment has been confirmed.
All requests for cancelation must be submitted by e-mail to registration@icm2018.org
before July 4, 2018. No request will be accepted after this date.
Refunds will be conducted until 60 (sixty) days after to be evaluated by the Organizing Committee and will be
limited to 50% of the registration fees. Amounts paid for the optional items (banquet, proceedings, childcare) cannot be refunded.
Before registering please check useful information about visas to enter in Brazil. After registering at ICM2018 and the payment confirmation you may request an invitation letter.
ICM 2018 participants are strongly urged to obtain adequate travel and health insurance before leaving their home countries. The Organizing committee provides no coverage and will not accept any responsibility for any accidental incidents that may occur during the Congress.
