The city of Rio de Janeiro is served by two main airports:
Galeão International Airport (GIG) - international and domestic flights
Santos Dumont Airport (SDU) - connections to various destinations in Brazil
The Organizing Committee will offer transportation (ICM Shuttle bus) from Galeão International Airport (GIG) to
Riocentro to all participants arriving on July 30-31 and August 01, from 07:00 to midnight.
Teams of ICM 2018 staff and volunteers wearing ICM 2018 T-shirts will be available at both airports on July 30 - 31
and August 01, from 07:00 to midnight, to guide arriving ICM participants and help them get to the ICM venue.
At Galeão International Airport, the ICM welcome booth will be located at the arrival area in Terminal 2. Look for ICM T-shirts.
At Santos Dumont Airport, the ICM welcome booth will be located in the Riotur (Rio de Janeiro tourism authority) office,
located at the arrival area and shown in the photograph). Look for ICM T-shirts.
Do not accept rides from unknown people around the terminal: while those are not necessarily unsafe, they are bound
to be illegal operations.

Regular cabs are yellow, but special taxis can have different colors. The latter are usually more spacious and comfortable,
and fares are up to 80% higher.
Reservation counters are available in Terminal 2, near Gate D (international arrival) and Gate A (domestic arrival).
Inform your destination, get a voucher indicating the established cost of your ride, pay in cash (reais only) or with
credit card, and head to the corresponding boarding area.
Special taxis - Are run by companies Cootramo, Transcoopas, Coopertramo, Transcootur and Coopatur. Their cabs
have different colors, but the services and fees are comparable. Payment must be made at the reservation counter.
Head to the departure point on the sidewalk just outside Terminal 2, and hand the receipt to the driver.
Estimated fare to Riocentro: R$ 180.00.
Regular cabs - Are run by companies Aerotáxi and Aerocoop. The boarding area is also located on the sidewalk
outside Terminal 2. Reservations can be made at the counter, but it is also possible to pay the driver directly
(cash only), according to the taximeter. A R$2.50 overcharge is due for each piece of luggage in the trunk.
Estimated fare to Riocentro: R$ 120.00.
99 App
An official partner of Riogaleão, the company running the International Airport. A special boarding area is
available near Gate C of the departures level (second floor) of Terminal 2. You must download the app on your
mobile device (iOS or Android) prior to using this service. The approximate fare is shown in the app before you confirm the service.
Uber
Uber also operates at the Galeão International Airport. The boarding area is on the departures level (second floor)
of Terminal 2. You must download the app (iOS or Android) prior to using this service. The approximate fare is shown
in the app before you confirm the service.

Our team at the ICM welcome booth will provide further information to ICM participants arriving through Santos Dumont airport.

get a voucher indicating the established cost of your ride, pay in cash (reais only) or with credit card, and head to the
boarding area, located on the sidewalk near the center of the terminal building. Estimated fare to Riocentro: R$ 160.00.
Uber
Uber has a dedicated boarding lounge at the Santos Dumont Airport. To reach the boarding point, turn left from the baggage
claim area exit and follow the signs across the whole terminal building until reaching the Bossa Nova mall commercial area.
The Uber lounge is at the very end. You must download the app (iOS or Android) prior to using this service. The approximate
fare is shown in the app before you confirm the service.
