Shanghai__Guilin__Xi'an__Beijing ,   August 14__19, 2002 
 
Trip Gist:
This tour is a combination of landscape beauty and archeological grandeur. When you arrive in Shanghai, China's industrial and financial center, you will take a tour to the Bund, and the Yu Garden. Then, you will fly to Guilin to have a half day boat cruise on the Li River and visit some sites of karst landscape and caverns, the most spectacular in China. From Guilin you will fly to Xian, which boasts China's best archeological findings, to visit the underground army of Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses and Banpo Museum of remains of a settlement in the Neolithic age. The tour will end in Beijing.
 
Trip Plan:  
 
Aug. 14 Individual arrival in Shanghai. Afternoon tour to the Bund and Nanjing Road. Overnight in Shanghai. 
Aug. 15 Guided tour to Yu Garden, the Jade Buddha Temple, and the residence of Mm. Soong Qingling (Mrs. Sun Yatsen). Evening flight to Guilin. Overnight in Guilin.
Aug. 16 One-day cruise trip on the Li River. 
Aug. 17 Guided tour to Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill and Fubo Hill. Evening flight to Xi'an. Overnight in Xi'an.
Aug. 18  Guided tour to Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, Banpo Museum, and Evening dinner show.
Aug. 19  Guided tour to the Old City Wall and Provincial Museum of History. Evening flight to Beijing.
Price:
Twin Occupancy: US $630; Single Supplement: US $75 

Twin-room occupancy means that you will share the room with another person you have chosen. So, if you book double occupancy for a tour, you have to book for two persons, or you book for yourself and your friend books for himself/herself. In either case, you have to indicate your roommate.

If you are going to take a pre- or post-congress tour by yourself, you have to pay the rate for twin-room occupancy plus the rate for single supplement. And you will use a single room during the tour.
