Financial Support for Senior Mathematicians From Developing Countries

Application Form

Dear Colleagues,

This circular letter specifies the application procedure indicated in the circular letter of September 15, 2000 (Financial Support for Mathematicians from Developing Countries and Eastern Europe) for grants supporting Senior Mathematicians from Developing Countries to attend ICM2002. The grant is given by Chinese Mathematical Society. And the CMS has set up a subcommittee, called Committee of Support for Senior Mathematicians from Developing Countries (CSSMDC), to handle the applications.

Please help distribute the announcement below to any person who might be interested in applying for such a grant.

A Notice by ICM2002 Committee for Support of Senior Mathematicians from Developing Countries (CSSMDC)

Please find below the application form for Senior mathematicians with residence in any developing countries for grants to attend ICM2002.

The funds of the Organizing Committee for financial support are limited. To secure participation of as many people as possible the CSSMDC will only support local costs (registration and lodging) in Beijing. Travel grants are not available! Every person applying for a grant from CSSMDC is expected to cover travel expenses from other sources.

All participants, who would like to apply for financial support, are kindly asked to fill out the application form below.

DEADLINE (for submission of applications): JANUARY 1, 2002
All applications will be reviewed and all applicants will be informed about the result immediately after
MAY 1, 2002
